Celebrate Father's Day Weekend with the entire family and experience American Indian heritage, history and pride at the Stewart Father's Day Powwow! Each year the former Stewart Indian School comes alive with over 200 dancers, oveer 40 arts and crafts vendors, Indian Tacos, and admission is FREE! The Stewart Father's Day Indian Powwow benefits the establishment of the Stewart Indian Cultural Center. 2017's Grand Entry is at 7pm Friday, Saturday at 1pm and 7pm and Sunday at 12pm. This is an alcohol and drug-free event.
This annual three-day event, held at the Stewart Indian School in Carson City, celebrates American Indians, American Indian culture and the Stewart Indian School. Attracting visitors and participants from Nevada and surrounding states, the festival features traditional competition dancing and drumming, arts and crafts, exhibits, and the history of the Stewart School through alumni recognition events.
