They will take on both rolls until funding becomes available to establish a true Arts Council. The EACAB represents arts interests in local government and helps facilitate public art projects and activities including The World Trade Center Memorial at City Hall, The Nevada Sesquicentennial Sagebrush in the main City Park and are developing the Elko Shakespeare Festival which will bring Elko's four theatre companies together in a joint effort to educate and entertain. The board also recently held the first annual Elko Mayor's Arts Awards program.
