We are a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about our quilting art form. We contribute to several charitable organizations: Austin's House, Lyon's Club, Elk's Club, Cancer Center at Carson Tahoe Hospital, Child & Family Services in Carson City, CASA, Project Linus, Douglas Center for Hope and Healing, and local county fire departments. We have a scholarship program with the Western Nevada Community College and local high schools. Our mission is to continue educating our membership. Twice a year we host a national speaker/teacher who comes and instructs classes in his/her special technique to guild members and interested public on a Saturday and Sunday at WNC and then provides the program for our monthly meeting on Monday night. We also provide basic classes at no charge once a month to our members. We exhibit our work at the Douglas County Library, Zephyr Cove Library, Lyon County Library, Western Nevada Community College, Dayton Library, Markleeville Library, and we also had an exhibit at the Reno/Tahoe Airport's new gallery.
