Art Exhibition: A Wail and a Clang

This exhibition includes a selection of drawings and paintings by artists hailing from the U.S. and Canada. Their work presents observations on a range of topics from pulp fiction and sex to collage, academic drawing, illustration, drawing’s relationship to sculpture, brutality, aggression, cultural and feminine issues. Some of the paintings focus on the act of drawing, while some of the drawings allude to the process of painting. Similarly, some of the works are detailed and time-consuming with others having a more spontaneous, expressive slant to them. In all, the work in this exhibition has a persuasiveness of style and technique. Curated by Jeff Burden. Viewer discretion is advised.
