It’s spring and the Reno Blues Society will ring in the mild weather with their annual Spring Dance Party, Saturday, May 26, at a new venue, Coach’s #2 on 4050 S. McCarran Blvd. in Reno. What better way to welcome spring with the upbeat and danceable sounds of two local and popular blues bands, Joker’s Wild (7-8:30pm) and Blue Haven (9-11pm or so).
Some of the proceeds will go to music scholarships. Tickets are $17 in advance and $12 at the door or for RBS members in good standing and ticket outlets again include The Melting Pot and Recycled Records in Reno, Hippies Pipes & Incense in Sparks and The Bead Store in Carson City.
Sponsors of the event include Coach’s #2 as well as radio stations KTHX, KOZZ and KOH.
Coach’s #2 will be closed for our private party that evening and have a full bar and restaurant available to attendees. Coach’s features a large venue with plenty of room for dancing, ample tables and chairs and a large stage. It is located on the south side of McCarran, one block West of Longley, with access via the Eastbound lane of S. McCarran.
