A Room of One's Own

A Room of One's Own

Left of Center Art Gallery is excited to present, “A Room of One’s Own,” an exhibit of all women visual and literary artists. Based on the feminist essay by Virginia Woolf published in 1929, the exhibit plays on the idea that Woolf proposed, that women need their own space to create. It will feature professional visual artists from both Las Vegas and Los Angeles who work in all mediums, including video and installation; and professional literary artists from various forums, such as the LA Times and Hu ngton Post, along with local prominent writers. Along with the exhibit, there will be workshops in both art and writing, and special motivational events featuring Dr. Karmen Smith who will speak on the power of the feminine energy, Dr. Karen Laing, who will speak on our authentic self, and Annie White, who will speak on empowerment. It will culminate the end of March with a special evening of readings and celebration.
