The College of Southern Nevada Department of Fine Arts will host an exhibition of digital print artwork by Chinese born multimedia artist, designer and Associate Professor of Art and Design at Monmouth University (NJ), Jing Zhou. Zhou’s artwork explores our common humanity and diverse society, through a personal visual language that expresses universal ideas. “Jing Zhou:Visual Meditations” will begin Friday, February 9, 2018 and will run through Saturday, April 7, 2018. Ms. Zhou will participate in an Aritst Talk and Reception on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 6 p.m. in the Artspace Gallery on the North Las Vegas Campus.

Numerous books and magazines such as Photo Techniques, NMEDIAC, and Computer Graphics World have published her work. Jing is also a Gold Medal recipient of the Art Directors Club of New Jersey, Gold Winner of the American Design Awards, Silver Winner of the Summit International Creative Awards, and Prize Winner of IFUW (GWI) Poster Competition in Geneva. Jing’s multimedia artwork explores our common humanity and reflects her interest in spiritual experiences, Eastern and Western art, literature, and philosophy. To Jing, creating art is a process of deciphering her life journey.
The CSN Artspace Gallery is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Artspace Gallery is upstairs above the main entrance lobby on the North Las Vegas campus located at 3200 E. Cheyenne Avenue, one-mile East of I-15 North.
