Clark County Parks and Recreation Annual Life in Death Festival

Wednesday and Thursday, November 1 and 2
Life in Death Festival
Southern Nevada’s original Day of the Dead festival celebrates its 17th year of honoring the dead and mocking Death with the festival’s patron, Elizadeath, in the guise of a Las Vegas showgirl. Beautiful ofrendas (altars), glowing with candlelight, are covered with the food, drink and artifacts the dead loved in life to lure them back for a visit. Meanwhile, dance, music and humorous poetry remind us that Death helps define life, and we should not fear her.
5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; FREE admission; Food and crafts for sale.
