Celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with the City of Las Vegas! This vibrant homage to life is a true community event and one of the most charming and colorful holidays celebrated by Mexican and Latin American cultures. Produced by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and Office of Cultural Affairs, this lighthearted and joyful tribute honors the memory of family and friends who have passed away in a fun and immersive atmosphere featuring special entertainment, interactive children’s activities, artisan vendors, food, face-painting, special décor and an exhibition of alters created by community organizations and groups.
Various workshops and activities are scheduled to take place over several days and presented in conjunction with our Dia de los Muertos Celebration. For additional details and information on these activities, or to learn how to be an artisan vendor at the main event, call 702-229-ARTS or click here to register on-line. If interested in entering our Alter Contest or participating as a food vendor, please contact Jennifer Rabanes at 702-229-4924.
