Through A Child's Eyes Foundation

Through a Child's Eyes Foundation was established as a 501c(3) non-profit organization in 2007 by Cathe Faretto and a board of dedicated volunteers to bring professional staged performances to the Yerington community.  The Board of Directors of the Foundation passionately recognize that the arts open doors, minds, and hearts in ways that no other experience can.  In rural communities such as ours, many children never have the opportunity to feel the magic of theater, dance and music.  It is through this Foundation's tireless efforts that hundreds of local children have viewed world class performances both locally and in other venues.

The Foundation also established The Studio Academy of Dance and Music.  The facility serves as a home for our jazz, tap, and ballet classes for children of all ages.  Complete with a dance floor and stage, with state-of-the art sound and lighting, we are able to accommodate many performances in this venue.  

Our instructors are led by Lesa Dusich of the Reno Dance Company, a world class performer, teacher, and choreographer.
