Western Folklife Center
The mission of the Western Folklife Center is to enhance the vitality of American life through the experience, understanding, and appreciation of the diverse cultural heritage of the American West. Best known for the annual
National Cowboy Poetry Gathering which takes place during the last week of January, the Western Folklife Center also produces exhibitions, concerts and other programs around the West, and hosts a wide variety of community activities and youth education programs at the historic Pioneer Hotel cultural facility in Elko, Nevada.
