Reno Pops Oktoberkonzert  Celebrate October with the Reno Pops Orchestra on Saturday, October 23, 2010. October brings to mind German music, polkas, waltzes, accordion music. We will have it all: a special accordion concerto performed by Eric Fassbender; Bruce Kanzelmeyer on the Mozart Horn Concerto #4; favorite selections from Rogers and Hammerstein's Sound of Music with vocal soloist Jennifer Gourley; Strauss and Mahler polkas and waltzes; and the Finale from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Our concert will also feature the winner of our 2010 concerto festival, David Brown, performing the popular Saint-Saens Cello Concerto #1. Join us for this special evening of orchestral music at Nightingale Concert Hall, 7:00 pm. Free.
