Nevada Legal Services (NLS a non-profit legal aid service) is currently accepting from artists (professional, student, & hobbyists) for exhibition at our CHAMPIONS OF JUSTICE GRAND BALL (October 23, 2010).  This event is conducted to acknowledge the efforts/support of our volunteers and to bring awareness of the need for access to justice for all community members 

A committee consisting of NLS staff and volunteers will review submissions and select finalists based on Artistic Excellence and Appropriateness for the venue.  Artwork in all media will be considered.  There is no entry fee.

                       

Artists selected for exhibition are required to enter into a contract with Nevada Legal Services as follows:

•·         Artists are asked to exhibit their submissions for sale at the event, but will be required to set a reserve price, agreeing that NLS shall add an amount not to exceed 20% over reserve.  Artist will receive full reserve amount* with NLS retaining overage.

•·         The Artist is responsible for all necessary insurance, delivery, set up, display and removal of their submissions at the event.

•·         Any special exhibition requirements must be discussed with NLS two (2) weeks prior to the event.

•·          NLS reserves the right to refuse any work improperly presented for display/not pre-approved prior to the event.

•·         Artist releases NLS from any and all liability regarding transportation/display/removal of any and all exhibits.

*Nevada Legal Services is a non-profit agency. All sales from this event will be tax exempt.

TO APPLY, PLEASE SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS BY THE SPECIFIED DEADLINE:

•·         Personal information, including name, contact information, email address and website (if applicable).

•·         Up to 5 JPEG images with for consideration.  Please include an image list if more than one exhibit is submitted.

•·         Artist's statement regarding submission and a brief biography for inclusion in the event program.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS September 15, 2010 BY 5:00 PM.
