CCAI's "Industrial Art: Sports Edition" features the design work by five northern Nevada sports equipment designers and manufacturers. The participating businesses include Aviso Surf/Solution Marine, Burns Machining/Dirt Tricks, Sports Attack, The Cable Connection, and UCS Spirit. Each of these companies manufacture products with innovative design that apply to an array of sports equipment.
CCAI presents Dylan Silver's clear underwater photographs that give the viewer an unusual view of Lake Tahoe. As soon as Silver acquired his underwater camera, he shot for more than 60 days over the next two years and gathered more than 100,000 images. A reception for the artist is Tuesday, August 15, 5-7pm; the public is invited. The show is in CCAI's Sierra Room Gallery through November 9.
CCAI announces its student exhibition, "ART from UNR", at the Community Development Building [the Brick], 108 E Proctor Street, Carson City. Thirty-six students collaborated to create the two sculptures. The Brick is open to the public daily, 8am – noon, 1-4pm. The free exhibition will remain in the building’s lobby exhibition space from July 11 through October 19.
