Conlin, Maureen

Maureen Colin is a composer/lyricist and children’s music entertainer/educator providing musical education/entertainment and interactive fun for young children through community and business events, preschool, daycare and elementary school visits, classes and educational workshops. In 1993 she created Happy Notes Music, a music program that provides children ages 2 to 7 with classes that encourage them to explore and experience music through creative activities and songs. Maureen has recorded five children's music CDs, presented workshops in the USA and Europe, and developed a music curriculum for Ewin Innovative Education International for presentation in Beijing, China. Her approach to music education in early childhood is to use music, songs and activities that encourage interaction with children and to have them explore, experience and create with music.

She has taken post-graduate classes in music and early childhood education and numerous seminars and workshops for professional development through the National Association for Education of the Young Child, Children's Music Network, and the Child Care Education Institute.
