Janice Oberding is the author of over 12 books. Her titles include: Haunted Reno, Haunted Virginia City, Haunted Nevada, The Haunting of Las Vegas, Ghosts of Goldfield and Tonopah, Haunted Lake Tahoe, Infamous Reno, Under a Cruel Moon; the Floyd Loveless Story, Haunted Gold and Silver, Mizpah Hotel; History, Happenings and Hauntings, Haunted Valentine, Ouija; Strange but True, Dancing with the Dahlia, and A Mother Lode of Murder (a Virginia City mystery.)
In April 2015 she completed a four-book contract deal with History Press (Arcadia Publishing)
Janice’s work has been published in the Old Town San Diego Newspaper, Fun and Fit Las Vegas and also appears in other books: Weird Las Vegas and Nevada, Weird Hauntings, Weird Encounters, and Jeff Belanger’s Encyclopedia of Haunted Places, as well as Ghost Magazine and FATE Magazine.
2001 Created History Mystery Ghost Walk (Biggest Little City Ghost Walk) in downtown Reno. Which was recognized as an official Nevada 150 event in 2014 (State of Nevada Sesquicentennial.)
2009 she was honored with the part time instructor of the year award at Truckee Meadows Community College for her non-credit classes.
