Charme' Curtin has been fortunate to be surrounded by artists all of her life. Her mother was a professional oil & watercolor artists and her father designed jewelry when both were not working as Real Estate Brokers. Because of this other professional artists were always visiting her family's home coaching Charme' on a broad knowledge of different mediums. She now specializes in Watercolor and Acrylics.
While in high school Charme' attended classes at the Laguna Art Colony in Laguna Beach, California. Her studies continued at Memphis Collage, Memphis Tenn. And then again at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ. More currently Charme' has gained further education from other professionals such as Julian Bloom, Jim Burns, Gerald Spencer and Jan Schaffer. in the watercolor medium. She has also studied oil under Lois Payne and Tamara Geddes.
Her beautiful artwork had been recognized by awards at various competitions in California, Tennessee, Arizona, and Nevada. One of her paintings was published in the National Watercolor Society Catalog. Charme' has been affiliated with the Cypress Art League, Orange County Fine Arts League & past board member of the National Watercolor Society, and Henderson Art Association. Currently she is the 1st Vice President/ Programs, Communications/NVWS Group Site Monitor and a signature member of the Nevada Watercolor Society as well as a member of the Boulder City Art Association.
Almost every day Charme' can be found with a paint brush in hand. Her favorite subjects are the simple things that she finds in everyday life around her and from photographs her husband and brother take for her to paint. Charme' has the opportunity to live in states all over the country: Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Arizona, California and presently Henderson, NV.
